Robert E. Blackman
Mr. Blackman has an extensive background in the real estate industry that began in 1974 and is an active member in local community organizations. He is an angel investor in the Capital Region offering financial and mentoring support to several start-up companies.
Mr. Blackman was co-founder of Blackman & DeStefano Real Estate having 6 offices in the Capital Region of New York. The firm was merged with Realty USA, the nation’s 7th largest independent broker. Mr. Blackman currently serves as Vice President of Realty USA.
Within the real estate industry Mr. Blackman has served as President of Albany County Board of Realtors, President of Greater Capital Association of Realtors, Chair of Capital Region MLS, Director and member of the Executive Committee of New York State Association of Realtors and has served the industry in many other capacities.
Mr. Blackman is a long time community advocate and provides support to many not for profit organizations. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Gilda's Club Capital Region, Vice Chair AAA Hudson Valley, Secretary of the Center for Economic Growth, Trustee Fort Orange Club of Albany, Board member WMHT (regional PBS station).
Mr. Blackman is an angel investor in a number of start-up companies. He has taken an active role with all of these companies along with currently mentoring several entrepreneurs. Mr. Blackman is a board member at Ultradian Diagnostics.
George Ehinger, a leader in high tech media, is currently president of Beam Reach, Inc., a Saratoga Springs, NY, firm providing angel investment and business advisory services to early stage companies. Mr. Ehinger comes to iZoca with over 20 years experience in senior executive roles in the publishing, television and internet industries.
Mr. Ehinger served as senior vice president of the San Francisco-based cable television channel TechTV which was originally launched by tech publishing giant Ziff-Davis as ZDTV. TechTV was revolutionary in its use of the internet to build community and provide unique and valuable advertising solutions to a traditional TV model. Mr. Ehinger also served as vice president of the New York City based Scholastic, Inc.
Mr. Ehinger began his career with MCI Telecommunications in New York City. During his eight-year tenure, the company grew from $500 million in sales to over $5 billion.
Companies that Beam Reach has either advised or invested in include: Revision3 – the first TV Network exclusively distributed on the internet; Logical Image – an image based diagnostic tool for the health care industry; and Skyworks – an online game developer.
