Starting June 25th - August 31st 9am - 10am I am holding a summer boot camp 10 week session 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) just $3 a session per person.

Burn TONS of calories, reduce stress, lose weight, and increase energy. Build confidence & friendships. Work your WHOLE body in a short period of time. I will challenge you to push outside your comfort zone and maximize effort. I will hold you accountable and help you set and reach your goals! We get down to the basics: cardio endurance, core strength, flexibility and nutrition. Get positive, visible results that will motivate you to stay on track. Get out of the fitness rut. Dig deep and Push yourself with no nonsense, intense workout challenge, and the two biggest weight loss winners will recieve a 25% cash prize of the money generated (1 Teen & 1 Adult) with the biggest numbers lost.

The bootcamp will continue if we have people who bring equipment to play baseball, basketball, or kickball 10am-12. and a swim at 12-2pm. All ages are welcome, The cost of the 12 week program is just $3 a day. (extra charges apply to out of Cohoes residents wishing to take advantage of the pool).

Snowtober

POSTED BY :: Colleen Thorn

POSTED ON :: Albany Area Activities

Sunday, Oct 30, 2011

Did everyone have a great time in the snow storm last night? No, too early. Yes, wayyyy too early. Post some of your funniest events and pictures related to the Snowtober (that's Snow in October combined if you hadn't guessed). Can't wait to see and read all of your funny times.

I drove home on Route 9 in an almost complete whiteout, but I made it home; it just took double the time, but I had lots of company on the road.

Mothers Work Initiative

POSTED BY :: JuliAnn Goronkin

POSTED ON :: Mothers & More of the Capit...

Friday, Oct 28, 2011

Dear Mothers & More Member,

Mothering is work.

We all know that being a mother is so rewarding yet is also likely our most challenging job. We
recognize that the work we do as mothers is valuable within more than just the context of our families. Modern day mothers struggle with a variety of issues related to work, whether it is the work of motherhood, paid employment, a combination of the two, or something in between.

As a result of member feedback, Mothers & More is excited to launch the Mothers Work
Initiative - programming, tools and resources to support members with your work-related issues. The program is not just for paid working mothers but is for the entire spectrum of working mothers: Stay-at-Home mothers, volunteers, mothers working for pay full-time or part-time, mothers transitioning in or out of the workforce, etc.

The Mothers Work Initiative is here to support you if you are interested in:
* Improving your work/life balance or work/life fit
* Flexible work arrangements
* Transitioning in or out of paid employment
* Job seeking strategies
* Resumes, interviewing & networking
* Understanding your skills & value
* Understanding the current climate with regards to Mothers Work

Most of the events are free for Mothers & More members! Mothers & More understands your needs and your fears, and we've gathered tools that will help you explore and make the changes you desire. So when you leap, you don't have to leap alone.

Please join us at our kickoff event, Translating your Mothering Years - online, at your
leisure, starting at 1 pm ET on November 8. Or see below for other upcoming events in November.

What is a founder?

iZoca members can become a founder of a community. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Create a group.
  2. Invite five members and have them join your group.
  3. Post five items of content to your community (it could include events, photo albums, or discussions).

If you're one of the first 10 members to complete the process you'll become a founder!
